It follows a thematic approach over eighteen units of work.

All three strands, Reading, Writing and Oral Language, are integrated using a theme, genre and comprehension strategy.

 Skills Book for 1st Class includes activities to support all components of the programme. The reading, writing and oral language lessons are designed to complement and support each other.

Fully Integrated Skills Book

Reader 1 covers Units 1-9 and Reader 2 covers Units 10-18.

Reader 1 integrates the genres Report, Recount and Narrative.

Reader 2 integrates the genres Narrative, Procedure and Writing to Socialise.

 1st Class programme includes two class readers, filled with fun and engaging fiction and non-fiction texts. The readers are beautifully illustrated and support the Skills Book to teach grammar and phonics through storytelling, helping to develop reading fluency.
